MEGAN GRONER

Megan Groner brings more than 14 years of coaching experience to CRSA. Originally from New Jersey, she grew up in the Dutch Total Soccer system, now NJ Premier, which helped shape her approach to the game. Megan began coaching at 16 and has worked with boys and girls from U8 through U14.

As a player, Megan primarily played left wing, left back, and goalkeeper. She competed at the semi-professional level with NJ Alliance in the UPSL, as well as the Iowa Demon Hawks.

​

Megan focuses on developing smart, versatile players who understand the game and can make decisions for themselves. She believes players should learn how to solve problems, communicate, and play with confidence rather than rely on constant direction from the sideline.

Megan holds her U.S. Soccer E and F Licenses and plans to pursue her D License. She has also been a U.S. Soccer referee since 2019, officiating both outdoor soccer and futsal.

​

Having had only one female coach for much of her playing career, Megan is passionate about being a positive role model for young players and helping create more opportunities for women in the game.

​

Megan’s childhood soccer hero was David Beckham, and she currently supports AFC Richmond.
